III Edition 2020 – Conservation, Management, and Blue growth in the decades of the oceans

The 2020 edition was held from October 13th to 15th, remotely, via YouTube, with the theme “Conservation, Management, and Blue growth in the decades of the ocean”, which was coordinated by the Visiting Prof. Dr. Sergio Rossi. The course was taught in English, and attended by renowned professors and researchers from Italy, Spain, France, Mexico, and Brazil. They approached conservation, management, and blue carbon issues in the sense of the decade of the oceans, promulgated by the UN for the period 2021-2030 in 6 different sessions, always with 3 speakers per session and the presence of a mediator. The school was attended by 18 professors, being 8 from Brazil (USP, UFBA, UFPE, UFSC, among others), 2 from Spain (Autonomous University of Barcelona), 6 from Italy (University of Salento and University of Bologna), 1 from France (CNRS-LECOB) and 1 from Mexico (UPSIN). There were registrants from 22 countries and people from 65 countries watched the lectures of the sessions that are available on LABOMAR’s YouTube channel.
